Sensei,

My son and I, both BayView Karate students, wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the learning experiences you provided us over that weekend.  My son, (Hunter LaRosa) was quite animated when reviewing with me the most important aspects of your Stranger Danger discussion and couldn't wait to get home and let his younger sister know about the Stranger Danger lessons.

I could spend some writing time letting you know how each individual instruction impacted me and my son, but honestly that would be stating the obvious.  The Shotokan traditions, teachings and lessons from that seminar provided my son and I another way to connect, learn from each other and grow stronger as a family.

It is the old and the new, it is just a matter of time.

For that I thank you,

Don LaRosa

Sensei, Oss!

first, i would to sincerely thank you giving me an opportunity to show off my comments about site.

i am a dan-two karateka practicing shotokan karate in Cambodia. My club-Cambodia shotokan  karate international, which i am a member- is also affiliated to SKIF. and i am very proud to be a part of it.

well, i think, to me, this web site is good one both the layout and content. the layout is very well designed the color, the font size, font text and so on. And it is very easy to read, of cause.
the content is also very well done. and the parts i like the most are the kata and the sensei speak. I like  the two parts bec- the kata- is very useful and it very important to have it. i think it is a goo reference. well in fact, in cambodia i can not find it- the movie. it iss so hard to get one.It is nice and to read what the "sensei speak". throught this i can know and understand more about karate.

i think it is even more useful and benifitial to all karate practitioner- who are curiouse about karate-if sensei could host some more vdo clips of competition highlights,  movie of competition rules, and some referent books karate katas and kumite.

sorry for any mistake and impoliteness,

thanking you for your kiness taking to read my comments, i am

Y Chinlak,
a hard training Cambodian  karateka of shotokan karate.

The site is outstanding.  Tremendous resources for the traditional Shotokan Sensei and student.  The kata link with Kancho Kanazawa is fantastic, and an invaluable offering to all students for immediate review of kata -- at no expense! In a time when so many Dojo and Sensei seem challenged between modern society and ancient principles, the Shotojuku remain as fixed as a thickly-rooted bonsai in the sunlight of daily training // Good karma, health, and OSS.  Matt Michaelson

very impressed with the layout of your web site.  equally impressed with the kata you have on video.
we are a small school that teaches shotokan kata but we also teach soft style shaolin kata.  our self defense is based on street survival.  thank you for the opportunity to see a real master do the forms that we have been teaching for the past 15 to 20 years.

What a Great site, as a 10th Kyu, I have found the information on the site invaluable, the Kata downloads are the most informative and precise I have seen on the internet, and have been a great aid to my training, I am a member of S.K.I. wales, and even though it's Shotokan, I refer to your site, frequently, Thank you, or should I say, Domo arigato, Oss.
